We love to share our days with great customers but you might be wondering what a day at our depot looks like. Well, mornings always begin the same way, our small but meaningful team huddles together to set the tone for the day. We don’t just go over schedules and daily tasks, we remind ourselves of the reasons why we’re here: to serve the community, to keep Calgary clean, and to make recycling as seamless as possible.

Our team operates in sync, each individual has a clearly defined role and designated break times. One team member, the Valet, ensures every visitor feels valued and takes customer service to the next level. At the counters, the heart of the depot, team members swiftly count and sort bottles, keeping operations efficient. In the warehouse, one or two workers manage the bulk sorting process, making sure everything is organized for proper recycling.

For us, the day begins with business logistics—checking supplies, reviewing schedules, and strategizing for peak hours. While customer service is our priority, behind the scenes, there’s a meticulous effort to keep everything running efficiently. Cleanliness is key. We make it a point to sweep and mop the floors every 30 to 60 minutes, ensuring a spotless space for everyone.

Recycling is a commitment to sustainability, every bottle and can that comes through our depot represents a greener step, but we can’t do it alone. Community support fuels our efforts, and with each visit, you contribute to reducing waste and promoting responsible recycling.

As the day winds down, we reset. The floors are cleaned again, counters wiped down, and supplies replenished. This ensures that tomorrow starts just as smoothly as today ended, so we can build a cleaner, more sustainable future together! If you have never visited us before, now is the time!
